Collection MHS (unaccessioned) Textiles
Description 1 small bag of clothing, including two 'period' frocks, was found on the Brayshaw Park Caretaker's doorstep about 27 June 1996. These were subsequently found not to be an acquisition, but items that were on loan to Rapaura School and being returned to Mrs. Collin's.

Although this bag of clothing has been given the accession number 1996.117, the dresses are not catalogued there as they have no known source or donor (in which case they belong here), may not have been previously accessioned (in which case they belong here), or may already have been accessioned with an earlier number (in which case they belong here until that is verified).

NOTE: from Pam Saunders 8 February 2001. The 'period' frocks in this bag are replica dresses made by Mrs. Collins and loaned out at times. They were made of taffeta and cotton over pinnys - used for parades, etc. They are no longer in the Textiles collection at MHS.
