Collection MHS (unaccessioned) Textiles
Description Kete is in excellent condition and is a natural colour with a mix of chevron and diagonal weave. It has two bands of open chevron weave. Two plaited handles are attached to the top. It was made by a demonstator at the Omaka Marae and is woven from kiekie - a vine that grows on old trees. It looks like a fine flax and grows by the sea coast.
