Description Small British made New Zealand cloth flag known as a blue ensign. The blue ensign was adopted in 1902. The canton of the flag, red and white crosses of St. George of England and St. Andrew of Scotland in the top left hand side, is the British Union. The four red and white stars on the right hand side represent the Southern Cross. The flag has a dark blue background. There are no hems and it is fraying badly. This flag was found in the Museum by Steve Austin some time in 2006.
