Abstract Brownlee's Milling records.
The original records were donated 19 September 1960 by Mrs Heath.
The original receipt reads:
Received from Mrs Heath of Blackball near Havelock.
27 books (handwritten) relating to Brownlee & Co's timber mill at above address.

This fonds includes the following Series:
4 shipping tally books
1 freight charge book
1 cashbook
4 local sales books
2 cutting orders books
1 ships loading time book
4 timber shipment tally books
2 relating to area cutting of logs
6 letter duplicate books

The above are now in the Society's store, with thanks, Norman Brayshaw.

By October 2008 there were 41 books in the collection. These include time and wage books, letter books, timber tallies, shipping dockets, sales of timber. The majority of records are for the period 1864 - 1916 but there are some fishing quantities for 1945.
