Description |
"Vintage Car Club Museum, Brayshaw Park. Benzine pump from the past". The Union super spirit sign is on the wall, the Shell pump head is on the post. The Big X (Excelsior Autocycle) sign is advertising the Pioneer Motor Clubs 5 mile race from a standing start, amongst other things. The benzine pump is a Plume motor spirit pump. One of the push bikes has an advertisement for Mitchell's Garage. There is a penny farthing bicycle standing on the area under the ceiling and the "Marlborough" engine, built by John North Birch, is in the corner at the end of the building (VCC0.800.0001).
Part of the Brayshaw Park, Beavertown photographic inventory, taken by Roger Thwaites about 1985. Possibly at the November 1985 open day.
