The postcards are photographs, most with nothing written on the back. Places mentioned Hazel Grove (Cheshire, England), Balclutha, Upper Moutere, Onamalutu, Blenheim. Leather? bound with sideways face embossed in left hand corner. 41 pages have been numbered, many are unused.

Jenny Pierson, 1 September 2011: A note on the first page, written in the late Ruth Duncan's hand (she was a volunteer in Archives) says, "These albums [the whereabouts of the second album is unknown as at September 2011] were among Alice Smith's (wife of Frank and nee White) possessions. Could have belonged to Martha Smith (nee Botham). These two books have been seen (1996) by Molly Smith, Audrey Ward and Gwenda Hodson.
Mary White m[arried 1905] Walter Ward. Ann[ie Elizabeth] Hall m[arried 1939] Les Smith, brother of Frank. Doris [Bendall] Hall m[arried 1946 Theodor Oscar] Drogomoller [Drogomuller] (Upper Moutere). Frank Smith's mother was Martha Botham. There were/are Botham/Entwistle connections in Cheshire England (Hazel Grove)." [Elizabeth Alice White married 1936 Frank William Smith].
