Description Black and white snapshot, "Bowscale Lake, Tarndale, moulting ducks Island Lake". Bowscale Lake is known as Bowscale Tarn in the atlas and Island Lake is beside it, between Molesworth and Tarndale on the way to Hanmer. Back of photograph is stamped with a shop name (unreadable), place Blenheim and the date March 4, 1930.
