Description |
Beavertown Fire Station: Fire appliance, Hino KR320, diesel, registration number HX1352, built by Wormald Brothers of Wellington. The wooden ladder is not original. The original metal ladder is to come later in the year to the Beavertown Fire Station on permanent loan.
Delivered new to Blenheim Volunteer Fire Brigade on 11 November 1975 where it was used as the first turn out appliance. It was the main pump at The Farmers' [New Zealand Farmers' Co-Operative Association of Canterbury Limited] fire in 1979. It served Blenheim until the early 1980s. It was then transferred to Murchison and served there for a number of years. Then used as the Area spare. Released from the New Zealand Fire Service and stationed at Linkwater with the Rural Fire Force.
Change of ownership paper from Linkwater Rural Fire Force to Marlborough Historical Society Inc. signed 15 January 2010. A copy is attched to the accession record in the 2010 folder.
