Description	Elevated view of the opening of the Seddon station 10 October 1902. The terraces of the Awatere River can be seen to the north in the background. Copied by Norman Brayshaw (no date). It appears that the official opening is over as people are beginning to depart, From the left the new railway buildings include a large goods shed, the railway station which partly obscures a railway house and a standard pattern railway worker's house, with a separate wash house, on the right. The double tank by the left hand locomotive is for topping up its tanks, another tank can be seen on the derrick right of center, middle distance
