WWI ANZACS
When the first casualty lists from Gallipoli began to come in, photographs of those who were wounded, or died, began being printed in the main pictorial weekly newspapers of the day. This practice began with the Boer War and continued through the Second World War. The photographs in this exhibit are taken from the Auckland Weekly News, Christchurch Weekly Press and the Otago Witness. These men are all commemorated on Marlborough's war memorials.
