Description |
This pack saddle was used by packmen in mustering gangs. They were used for carting swags, food and fencing gear on both mules and horses. Swags were hung from the sides and hooked onto the hooks on the top. The loads had to be well balanced. This is a leather saddle with hessian padding. On permanent loan to the Flaxbourne Museum from Lachlan Taylor of Ward. |
