Description A saddler's awl. Has a wooden handle with a meatal sleeve on one end which holds a needle. There is a steel bobin which fits in the hollow handle and is held in with a metal clip that fits in the top of the handle. Thread from the bobin came out of the hole in the handle, sliped down inside the sleeve and was threaded through the needle
