Date 1850s
Description Glass ink bottle. Several large cracks around the neck and body of the jar and the object has been glued back together at some time. Remains of the cork are in the jar. Some sand also inside the jar. The bottom of the jar is worn consistent with use.

Found in a wall on the Edwin Fox during restoration. During the ship's lifetime objects had fallen down the walls and got caught in the knees (a bent piece of wood used as a brace).
